Vicente Fernández Gómez

He was born in Tepatitlán de Morelos Jalisco in Mexico, on February


17-1940. Unfortunately he died on December 12- 2021 in Guadalajara,
Jalisco in Mexico. He was known as “El charro de Huentitán” or also like
“Chente”. He was a Mexican actor, singer, businessman, record producer
and symbol of the culture of Spanish speakers and fans of ranchera music.
His career began when she won first place in a singing contest at the
young age of 14. Since then she started singing in restaurants and
weddings. "Chente" distinguished himself for showing up at his concerts
without rehearsing and for his famous phrase "while you don't stop
applauding, I won't stop singing".In his work as a singer won two Grammy
Awards, eight Latin Grammy Awards, fourteen Lo Nuestro Awards and a
star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In April 2010, he reached 60 million
copies sold worldwide.In 2016 he decided to retire from the stage. His 10

In 1963 he married Maria del Refugio 'Cuquita' Abarca Villaseñor who


was his neighbor. They had four children, among them the renowned
singer Alejandro Fernández.
After his death his friends and family remember him as a very pleasant,
hard-working, responsible and talented person.
