Pros and Cons of using Series Circuits

Pros
- Series circuits do not easily overheat. This makes them very helpful in the scenario of a
potentially flammable source, as a series circuit will not catch fire if the circuit overheats.
- We could add more electric appliances, which have a greater voltage output.
- One switch controls all of the circuit components.
Cons
- If one component in a series circuit fails, the circuit as a whole fails because the circuit has
been broken.
- If you add more light bulbs so the tendency the resistance in the circuit will increase causing
the electric current to flow decreasingly.
