With this beautiful quote by Albert Einstein, I, Malvika, and I, Vritika, wish you all a very good
morning and welcome our principle dr. deepak raj singh bisht, our hm, teachers and my dear friends
(/you all) today’s activity-Inter-house Semi-Classical Duet Dance Competition, classes 8 th and 9th.

Semi-classical dance has its roots in Indian classical and folk dances, the fusion of which
results in this fun, and fluid dance style. This type of dance breaks the strict movements and
forms of classical dances, and adopts a more contemporary style. The steps and movements
of this dance are also not as complex, although precision of movements is required. That is
why rhythm, expressions, story-telling, grace, power, as well as confidence are crucial to this
dance style. This dance style is a great starting point for those who want to go in for classical
dances, but are intimidated by the intricated choreography and fidelity of its. Semi-Classical
is flexible, while still being enthralling to watch, and to participate in.
Now, let us introduce you to the rules and regulations of today’s competition.
1. The time limit is for the performance is between 3-5 minutes.
2. be no backdrop, only handheld props can be used.
3. The criteria for judgement would be rhythm, choreography, costume, overall impact
and co-ordination.

4) and we have Our alumni judge is Ms. Vijayshree Venkat. She completed her
schooling from this school in 2019. During her school years she won several
competitions and prizes, and was also awarded the Best Dancer Of The Year 2019.
She has given various performances at several temples and different cultural
programmes. She is currently pursuing her journey of Bharatnatyam at the
Parampara Centre For Indian Classical Music and Dance. We welcome you all

With the performances all done, and while our esteemed judges discuss and ponder over
today’s results, I would like to invite _anushka singh_____________ from class _8 E____ .
she will sing a semi classical song for us satyam shivam sundaram.

Now, I’d like to invite Ms. Vijayshree to talk about her experience regarding today’s activity
and announce the results of the competition.

motivational thoughts.
