Subject: Green Technology in Education Module No: 1 Period:

According to the school’s vision, Guimaras State College will be a center of excellence in
education and green technology generation through the development of alternatives to
technologies that have been proven damaging to health and the environment.Stated in the
school’s website, “Center of Excellence in Education and Green Technology Generation”.

As a student, implementing the school’s vision is a must. Together we must make the
school proud and bring its name to the top. First, we must start within our own homes, simply
taking the trash out or cleaning the house daily. Moreover, planting trees in empty spaces or
reminding ourselves the 4R's: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover.As to reduce waste, we
must consider both the immediate and long-term effects something may have on the
environment.

A green product or technology takes into account a variety of factors, including energy
efficiency, recycling, health and safety considerations, renewable resources, and more.

The school’s mission is that the Guimaras State University is committed to provide
access to relevant and quality education and advocate sustainable development. Therefore, as
a 1st Year student, my mission is to be academically focused and goal oriented, after all that is
the primary focus of the institution. While there are other functions that a school serves, other
roles that it plays, the academic growth of the students is where it all starts and where it
should ultimately lead. The mission statement serves as a reminder to all members of the
school community that strong academics are the prize.
 Self-reflect (Reflection)

In this lesson, I learned that the school’s mission and visionmust be taught and advocated. As
stated in the school’s vision, GSU is a “Center of Excellence in Education and Green
Technology Generation”. It is highly recommended that as students of this school, we must
uphold and apply the vision. To be at our best and strive towards success. Not only in
academics but as a person. Achieve excellence and have the heart to broaden and share your
knowledge together with the people around you.

“Guimaras State College is committed to provide access to relevant and quality education and
advocate sustainable development”, according to the school’s website. Through that, as a
learner of the said school, we must develop and attain knowledge and experience to serve as
training. So that we can give back to the school for its competence and dedication of teaching
students education when we graduate with flying honors.
