1. Can you describe your most difficult customer and


how you were able to handle their needs?

Two weeks ago, I have an upset client Red Tag he needs for Alshaya to start installation on Sat. while we
could not start because the local material which needs to be fabricated is not purchased yet. The local
material is under process between the purchase department / design & Est. department. The client as
well as the sales team are upset, and the client threatened us to cancel the order and blacklist us if the
material is not arrived Saturday. I knew the client requirements will not met be the very long
pocesseder, so I get the quotation from purchase department and I obtain approval from finance a/
purchase the purchase the material by the petty cash. We purchase the material by cash/ we send it to
fabricator to be modified. We asked the supplier to help and get it done by Saturday morning. Now, we
arrange the material but still need to start in Saturday morning. We send some stock material as well as
technicians.

Tell me about yourself.

My name is Abdullah, and I am a mechanical engineer who graduated from Indiana USA in Dec 2016. To
develop myself, I am currently student master’s degree in engineering management and expected to
graduate next month. I am a positive, self-motivated, and high achieving person who believe that team
effort can achieve more.

I have gained many skills and experience which not only match the roll but also match amazon
leadership principle.

I always encourage my team to think outside the box by asking them why the used X method to solve
the problem and love to listen to them to find why to improve the teamwork. I always look for ways to
save money and finds ways to better ways to perform tasks.

I understand Amazon is interviewing many candidates for this roll, but I believe I am the right person for
this job base on my passion, experience, and my commitment to help the organization.

Amazon is the greatest company in the world, and it is leading the e-commerce not only on quality and
verity of products but also the way the deliver their products. It always put customer first. Also, amazon
leadership principles are the raspy for success. I will grow and reach my protentional if I successfully use
the leadership principles and I will achieve amazing thing while working with Amazon.

Did something outside of my responsibility?

The company decided to close out showroom where we started the division and we have been there
around years. The showroom location is well known to our clients as well as the public. When we were
moving the display items out, I notice what if a client comes and found we were not there. I took the
initiative and prepared an announcement to be placed in the showroom entrance. I prepared a sample
with the new showroom location, picture and QR code. I present the sample to the GM and loved the
idea and approved the sample. I then placed the announcement in English / Arabic on the doors with my
cell number as well as other number.

Improve the process:

1. Air circulation issue in CU.

2. Maintenance petty cash.
