Would you consider Beowulf a hero? Why or why not?

Yes, because to be considered a hero, one must be able to help others in the
face of danger and difficult circumstances. That is because they genuinely care
about other people's safety. Beowulf, aside from being strong and brave, expressed
his concern for his people by defeating numerous threats that had harmed them.
Another definition of a hero is admired or desirable for his or her bravery,
exceptional achievements, or noble qualities. Beowulf possessed the qualities that
distinguished him as a hero.

Beowulf is courageous enough to face monsters that everyone else is afraid

of. He fights Grendel with his bare hands and is willing to fight alone, diving to the
lake's bottom to battle Grendel's mother in her underwater lair. He is a great warrior
since he has the ability to defeat monsters that no one else can kill. He demonstrates
his greatness by always putting others' needs ahead of his own. He is important and
needed by his people, and many regard him as a strong, courageous, and helpful
individual. He possesses all the qualities and characteristics of a true hero. And at
last, he is willing to fight a dragon on his own, which requires enormous bravery
and tremendous courage. He always combats his enemies with pride and without
fear of death. This only serves to demonstrate that Beowulf is a true hero for his
willingness to fight and die in battle to protect his people.
