 How have your definitions and understanding of "design" and "human-centered design"

changed through this course?

Through this course, the word “design” changed from a creative connotation, to a
functional one, and “human-centered design” has been adopted as a revolutionary way of
thinking applicable to the design of any type of project or product.

 What will you do differently as a result of your experiences in this course?

After this course the project design process will be focused more on how the target person
perceives the problem than on how the design team perceives it.

 What surprised you most in taking this course?

What was most surprising was how much can be learned by listening to people and paying
attention to how they perceive problem situations and their environment.

 How has your approach to creativity and creative work changed through this course?

It was very enriching, because it was discovered that designing a product requires more
than logical thinking, but that there is also an emotional and imaginative part that makes a
big difference in the creative process and the result.

 What was the most unexpected moment in the process or prototyping or field testing your
designs?

The most unexpected moment was realizing the difference between the points of view of
the person for whom the product is intended and that of the design team.

 How will you take the lessons from this course into your current work?

I will pay close attention to everything the person has to tell me or show me about his/her
environment and everything that is important to them, and thus make them feel part of
the process and ensure full ownership of the final product.
