    Project work

    As per syllabus
    As per Syllabus: Major group project on any topic (Synopsis+ report+ presentation) (5%+10%+15%)

    Task: You are advised to submit your group project synopsis in the following format

    1. Title of the project

    A short title giving an idea of your project even to a layman

    2. Introduction
    Introduction about project and business issue relating to information systems you will study
    About 300 words

    3. Motivation
    The possible question to be answered here “why you have taken this project”

    4. Broad three objectives of the project


    Each objective should not be more than three lines of an A4 size page

    5. Research Methodology
    In brief giving major steps namely types of data used in the project, type of analysis you will do,
    etc.
    6. Possible outline of the project report

    Format for final report

    Final report should be divided in to either Sections or chapters

    Executive Summary of 2 page which will include need for project, objectives, finding, and suggestions

    Text style and format

    Times New Roman 10, single space, margins 1 inch on all sides of A4 size page

    Main heading 12 Bold- Capitalize each word

    Sub headings 10 Bold- Capitalize each word

    Table data font size 9 Times New Roman

    Chapter/ Section titles-12 BOLD- Capitalize each word and shall not be underlined.

    Titles of Tables shall be centralized above the table. Titles of Figures shall be centralized below the
    figures. Tables and Figures shall be center justified. All Tables and Figures must be used in the body of
    the report. Details data may be included in Appendix

    All references must also be used in the body of the report with proper citation and also at the end of
    report.

    Page numbering: Arabic numerals (10 Regular font) – bottom centered. Start page number 1 from
    chapter 1/ section 1.

    Page numbers shall not be printed on Project Report facing sheet.

    Use series i, ii, iii,.... for the initial pages up to start of chapter 1/section 1.

    Only cover page is to printed on one side of the paper rest on both sides of the paper till the end to save
    paper (Only final report is to be printed).

    Minimum word size should be 10,000 words.
