Creating the Bottom 3 stores by sales view

1. Open the Store_Department_analysis_Exercise.twbx , we shall create the marked views

2. Look for the tab ‘Bottom 3 Stores with lowest Sales’ and the navigate to the tab by clicking on it
3. The tab will open and you will see this view

On this view the year has already been added as a filter, next we shall add Store to the rows and sum of
WeekTD Sales to the columns.
4. Now on the data pane on the left side and find the Store variable which will be listed in the
dimensions section with a blue mark, drag it to rows.

5. Next drag the WeekTD Sales column to the Columns (in case it does not aggregate to SUM, click
on the arrow on right of WeekTD Sales and then click on Measure and select Sum.
6. Next we need to add the filter for Bottom 3 Stores by WeekTD Sales, click on the Store variable
arrow on the right, then on the menu click create and then select set. The next step shows the
window that appears.

7. In the window click on Top Tab and rename the variable to Store Set – Bottom 3 Sales
8. In the same tab select Bottom and, in the box, beside and type 3 for Bottom stores, make sure
WeekTD Sales and sum is selected in the boxes below.
9. Now select the created set variable and drop it to the filter, the bottom 3 sales would be
selected.

10. Next we need to sort the sales and format it the right units ($ M). Take the move over to the
middle of the bar when you see the small sort icon, click on it multiple times to sort it by
ascending or descending order.
11. Now to format the Sum of WeekTD Sales click on the down arrow on the right, then click on
Format in the format window select customer currency.

On the left , click on Pane and the on the Numbers select currecny (custom) and then on the Display
units select Millions and two decimal places, in Font select Times New Roman , size 8
12. The sheet looks like this below. Next we shall move to put this sheet on the Dashboard, so click
on the Acme Company Sales: Overview tab.
13. Drag the Bottom 3 stores with lowest sales to the area with the header. In case the title of sheet
appears - For that right click on the Title and then select hide title.

The dashboard looks like this now :


14. Next we need to fit the chart to the max size, so we click on the view and then on the downward
triangle arrow that appears on the right and then click on fit followed by selecting Entire View

15. Finally the dashboard looks like this now.
