Sabbath Of the Witches

(1970) By Jaime de
Guzman

the artisan portrays as Elias from El Fili lurks horrifyingly behind the
scenes.

SCULPTURE •According to sources,

the early signs of
commercialization of
Tao-Tao began during
the era of American
rule. Foreigners came to
their forefathers'
dwellings and
demanded the wooden
sculptures fastened in their houses in return for things. Until local visitors
and art collectors approached them and offered money to replicate the
carved wooden figure in various forms and sizes, using popular
hardwoods such as Ipil.
