a sharing and dialogue series hosted by the Institute of Cultural Affairs Asia Pacific
with sharing from ORP, CPYen Foundation, HarmonyWorks, Leadership Inc. Shenzhen and others

We are globally and locally at a time of crisis and separation we hope by exploring some of the successes in profound dialogue it will reveal approaches that
might be used by others to move toward reconciliation and healing.

We invite you to a series of four 2-hour sessions. Each sharing is a local Asia Pacific successful or ongoing case. Our intention is to use this opportunity to
explore experiences and ways to deepen discourse toward peace and authentic respect.

The Institute of Cultural Affairs has for the past sixty years explored ways to collaboratively engage individuals, communities, and organizations to build
capacities for self-reliance and human development. We are honored that other individuals and organizations are joining to share their work and expand the
reach of the invitation. The Institute of Cultural Affairs International (ICAI) is a global community of non-profit organisations advancing human development
worldwide. ICAI is about empowering an authentic and sustainable transformation of individuals, communities and organizations.

Each session is composed of three parts:

• Sharing experiences of Authentic from a specific Asia Pacific context
• Reflection on the Sharing
• A group dialogue to share your experiences, with the intent to impact the future of civil discourse locally.

The Social Dialogue on Peace and
Unification, implemented for the first
time with the Moon Administration,
ensured balanced participation of
conservative, centrist, and progressive
civil society organizations and South
Korea’s 7 major religions. The
conservative Korea NGO Association, the
progressive Civil Society Organizations
Network in Korea, and centrist civic
groups, with over 100 years of history,
came together for the Social Dialogue.
In 2019, all these organizations together
established the Social Dialogue for Peace
and Unification Building of Korea to be
the civic organizer of the Social Dialogue,
and have worked side by side since. They
formed what became “The Social
Dialogue for Peace and Unification
Building of Korea” is an independent civic
organizer of social dialogue, working
together with the central government

CASES FROM "DIALOGUE IMPACT
AWARDS” hosted by CP Yen foundation

The Dialogue Impact Award is an annual program
honoring communities and organizations that
illustrate the power of dialogue in their practice.
In the past three years, we have had the honor to
award nearly 30 cases from all sectors. In this
session, we will present 3 cases that are from
government, university and not-for-profit
(NPO)organization to illustrate how dialogue is
implemented through their efforts and create
impact in social good.
1. Taiwan Parks & Playgrounds for Children by
Children – a very powerful group of Moms, were
focused on making changes in policies and
facilities of public parks. This is an illustration of
utilizing women power and children’s rights to
support dialogue among government agencies,
parents, communities and children.
2. Social Participation Center, National Dong Hwa
University USR (University Social Responsibility),
an example of how universities practice their
University Social Responsibility to respectfully
help an aboriginal community develop their micro
business in managing chicken farm.

Promoting Children's Public
Participation and Women’s
Leadership Shenzhen
Hosted by Leadership Inc Shenzhen
Children and women are one of the key
constituent elements of the city, so their
voices should be heard and seen.
The 5th Shenzhen International Children's
Forum was held in Shenzhen city on 31st
May,2017. We have designed and
facilitated a topic of "My City and Me"
Workshop, for children to explore,
discover and imagine the Future of
Shenzhen, to guide children on dialogue
and propose changes to the impact of
existing problems in the city from a child’s
perspective.
In 2019, the Shenzhen Women's
Federation initiated programs to develop
female leadership and provide facilitation
training for female cadres of the Shenzhen
Women's Federation. The project involved
female cadres mastering the ability to
facilitate and support services to more
women.

BUILDING BRIDGES in Cross Cultural
Dialogue Hosted by Harmonyworks
and others
The early development of the Building
Bridges programme and the later work since
the pandemic. It includes sessions like
Encounter Malaysia, the inter-faith sessions
and the sessions done with Prof Tajuddin on
recent political developments in Malaysia,
values, spirituality and education.
Our intent is to share the work being done,
the challenges and invite comment and
sharing from participants who may also be
doing similar work in their own countries.

Harmonyworks is inviting those who have
worked with us in these various projects to
 and other entities to spread social
dialogues on peace and unification, in
which it will encourage the public to
participate, and build and institutionalize
a social consensus on peace and
unification.
In the session, the consensus process on
drafting the unification agreement,
which was created through the dialogue
of over 6,000 people, and the reflections
of the facilitators will be shared.
3. Department of Health, New Taipei City
Government- Co-Creating A Dementia Friendly
Community. Since dementia / aging is a growing
and important social issue, further it requires all
stakeholder’s to engage in the conversation for
government to develop a comprehensive social
welfare policy.
CPYF is a Taiwan based not for profit organization,
established in 1999. Its mission is to “Foster the
art of dialogue Facilitate positive social change”.
We believe all solutions start with conversations
/dialogue. The quality of dialogue impacts the

首次與文在寅政府一起實施的和平與 朝邦文教基金會自 2019 年開始推出「對話 兒童和婦女是城市的關鍵組成元素之 “建設跨文化對話橋樑”計劃的早期開
