WORKSHEET 6

For assessments to be fair and reliable, it should be appropriate, inclusive, and accessible to all
the students. In other words, teachers must match the assessment to what they teach, create a
rubric to be followed by the students, and have a clearly stated learning outcomes so the
students must know what is expected of them.

3
Firstly, I remind the students that there will be an assessment after the discussion. Secondly, I
clarify to students the scope of the test. Lastly, I give time limit for each test item to avoid
cheating.

5
The purpose of item analysis is to determine the quality of the exam and how effective it is
based on the scores of the students. It affects the overall teaching-learning process so the
teachers must reassess the test and improve its validity.

7
For students, assessment is an important part of learning since it helps them to determine how
they are doing in class. It can aid their awareness on where they are most knowledgeable and
on where they need to improve. Assessment benefits teachers in the same way it benefits
students. Teachers can analyze their own teaching effectiveness and allows them to re-assess
their way of teaching.

8
Assignments and projects are the other activities used by teachers to assess the student
learning.
