Language descriptions, learning theories, and a needs assessment (ibid). The
interdependence of these factors is critical in the course design process. to
identify their learners' key requirements or needs and the areas where they
lack skills

2. How might you analyze the needs of secondary school learner? What results do you
think you would get?
Given the study's objectives, we chose to conduct research using a qualitative
approach, structured and guided by a constructive-interpretative process linked
to culture and social history (González-Rey 2002). The constructive-
interpretative viewpoint regards researchers' subjectivity as an essential
component in developing hypothetical indicators that will guide corpus
construction and analysis. The method is active and dialectic, allowing for
data interpretation that can lead to new data collection and analysis processes
(González-Rey and Mitjánz 2015).
