7. Bị động của động từ tri giác
a, Cấu trúc 1: (chỉ thấy 1 phần hành động) b, Cấu trúc 2: (thấy toàn bộ từ đầu tới cuối)

S + V + O + Ving S + V + O + Vbare
 S + be + Vp2 + Ving  S + be + Vp2 + to + V(bare)
I saw him passing my house. I saw him pass my house.
--> He was seen passing my house. --> He was seen to pass my house
I smell something burning in the kitchen I saw her mother shout at her loudly
 

Riêng các từ: Feel, find, catch chỉ sử dụng cấu trúc 1

8. Thể nhờ bảo

Khi diễn tả một hành động mà chúng ta không tự làm lấy, mà để người khác làm, chúng ta dùng cấu trúc:
* Dạng chủ động: S + HAVE + SB + V (bare) + ST
or S + GET + SB + TO V (bare) + ST
* Dạng bi đông: S + HAVE/GET + ST + VP2

Ví dụ: I had my father repair my car

= I get my father to repair my car.
 I had my car repaired by my father
The painter finished my father's portrait yesterday


She is having his sister clean the door.



9. Bị động với 7 động từ đặc biệt

Các động từ: suggest, require, request, order, demand, insist(on), recommend.
chủ động:
S + suggest/ recommend/ order/ require... + that + S + V(bare) + O
bị động:
It + (be) + suggested/ recommended/ ordered/ required... + that + O + should + be + Vp2
Ví dụ:
He suggested that we organize a warm party.

 It was suggested that a warm party should be organized.

She recommended that our family buy a new house

 It was recommended that a new house should be bought by our family

10. Bị động của động từ đặc biệt
A. It’s your duty to + Vbare
 You’re supposed to + Vbare
B. It’s impossible to + Vbare
 S + can’t be + P2
C. It’s necessary to + Vbare
 S + should/must + be + P2
D. Mệnh lệnh thức + O
S + should/must + be + P2
 LET/DONT’T LET + O + BE + VP2
Ex: It is your duty to make tea today
 You’re supposed to make tea today.
Ex: It’s impossible to solve this problem
 This problem can’t be solved.
Ex: It’s necessary for you to type this letter
 This letter should be typed
 It is necessary for this letter to be typed
Ex: Turn on the lights!
 The lights should be turn on.
 Let the lights be turned on.
Ex: Don’t eat that food.
The food shouldn’t be eaten
