1. What is Historiography?
It is the practice of historical writing. Traditional method in doing historical
research focuses on gathering of documents from different libraries and archives
to form a pool of evidence needed in making a descriptive or analytical narrative.

2. Differentiate Spanish historiography and American historiography in the


Philippines?
Spanish chroniclers wrote a lot about the Philippines but their historical
accounts emphasized the primacy of colonization to liberate Filipinos from their
backward "barbaric lifeways. In the same manner, American colonial writers also
shared the same worldview of the predecessors by rationalizing their colonization
of Filipinos as a way to teach the natives the "civilized lifestyle" which they said
the Spaniards forgot to impart including personal hygiene and public
administration.

3. What do we mean of bipartite and tripartite view of history?


Bipartite and tripartite talks are frequently referred to as such in accordance
with labor legislation in Philippine history. Both strategies are intended to end
disputes in labor relations or industrial relations between organizations,
employers, or between employers and workers. Bipartite negotiations, commonly
referred to as the Law, are discussions between workers, trade unions, and
employers to resolve industrial relations problems. On the other hand, tripartite
discussions entail the external mediation of labor disputes.
