This
visa
is
required
for
non-‐Australian
citizens
who
will
be
working
on
ships
porting
out
of
or
visiting
Australia.
To
join
the
ship
in
Australia,
all
crew,
regardless
of
position,
will
need
2
additional
visas,
except
Australians
and
New
Zealanders.
Ø The
MCV
visa
(Maritime
Crew
Visa,
subclass
988)
–
all
nationalities.
Ø The ETA visa (Electronic Travel Authority visa, subclass 976) or Evisitor Tourist visa – see nationalities listed below.
Ø The Transit visa (subclass 771, form 876) -‐ all other nationalities not listed below.

AUD;
once
on
board,
you
can
submit
the
receipt
to
the
staff
administration
office

that
messages

the
Consulate
have
not
been
incorrectly
identified
as
spam.
If
you
do
not
receive
an
email
within
12
hours
of
submitting
the
application,
check
the
status
of
your
application,
as
you
may
have
entered
an
invalid
email
address.
A
TRN
(Transaction
Reference
Number)
is
a
unique
number
assigned
to
each
completed
online
application.
Please
keep
in
mind
that
receiving
a
TRN
does
not
mean
your
application
has
been
granted.
It is important that you record this number as it is used to:

is
approved,
you
will
receive
an
email
from
the
Consulate
with
a
visa
grant
ID.
The
Australian
government
does
not
require
you
to
have
a
visa
label
placed
into
your
passport
for
travel
to
Australia.
Print
both
emails
and
keep
them
with
your
passport.
