NOTES
Before her return from the U.S. she received a mysterious letter addressed to Sombra, which was an affectionate nickname that only
her grandfather used to call her, asking her to meet at one of the family's abandoned houses before going back to her family. After
arriving to what she expected to be a ruin she found a lavish mansion and met face to face with the man she thought lost ages ago, yet
somehow even if he physically was him she could sense that something vital had changed within him.
He explained to her that he hadn't abandoned her all those years ago and lovingly retold her her own life through his eyes and how
lucky breaks or miracles she had experienced had happened under a slight and careful use of his influence. He didn't held her hand or
build her entire life but made sure she had opportunities and rejoiced when she not only took them but exploited them over his
expectations.
She was unaware of the family held dark secret that propelled them into one of the powerhouses in their country, as her grandfather
described the actions that he had taken after being unshackled of the limits of mortality. Although her father and uncles were great
businessmen she understood that without the dark touch of his grandfather they wouldn't had the same success that they enjoyed
today.
He asked for her trust and in turn ended her life and bestowed the curse of Unlife on her, unable to let his entire family grow old and
die with him as a mere spectator, which would have been only harder on him when she passed away as she had been always his
favourite. She was reported as missing during her return home which was sadly nothing strange during those years and while her
family made a very long effort they never did find a trace of her lost daughter.
After her Embrace came the lessons which were harder than anything than she had experienced in her mortal days. Her grandfather,
now her Sire as well, taught her and his lessons were the harshest that she had taken. She couldn't understand how he claimed to love
her so much when a simple mistake would incurr in the most cruel of punishments.
10 or so years passed in this manner until she deemed her ready and for the following couple of dozen years she helped her
grandfather establish a steel fist grip in the Drug Cartel underworld using a combination of manipulation and violence to bend the
criminal elements of Mexico to his will and created a symbiosis between his old family businesses and the dirty drug money that came
from the US-Mexico drug business.
Around the 1960s she was called back again to discuss something of grave importance. He explained to her that their oldest known
ancestor had awoken from Torpor and had managed to infiltrate the Camarilla passing off as a member of Clan Ventrue and that it
was his most pressing recommendation that his line followed suit if possible.
After careful deliberation Julieta and her Sire relocated to New York City where they followed suit Marcus Vitel's example until the
unexpected end of the Battle for NY in 99' where they used the confusion of the aftermath of the battle to return to Mexico to lay low.
Less than a decade later the Second Inquisition struck and things changed forever for the Garza's. Having lost a lot of political power
and influence with their excursion to NYC when Fiorenza Savona took control of Mexico City and stated her terms of welcoming the
Lasombra into the tower, the ashes of their Sire, Julieta found herself compelled by Isaac, her grandfather to comply with the Ventrue's
order.
Unable to disobey him she led him to his Final Death and presented her a package and a letter the contents which she was ignorant of,
alongside of a Urn with his ashes. These offerings bought her official welcome to the Ivory Tower, not as a fake Ventrue anymore but as
the newly integrated Lasombra. Funny enough most of the Neonates and Fledglings would confuse her readily for a Ventrue as she was
never reported as being adept at their signature discipline. Truth was thas after the events that ended with her Sire's death she was cut
off from the Abyss, unable to call upon it since that night.
She used her previous knowledge of the inner workings of the Camarilla to her advantage, climbing the ladder with ferocity, willing to
prove beyond a doubt where her loyalties laid and recently she was sent to Tijuana to aid the efforts to strenghten the links between
the US-Mexico western border.
She spent there a few years before finally deciding to move to San Francisco, suspecting that she had done as much as she could in the
southern side of the border and that her next goals would require dominion of the american city or at least a great deal of influence.
