Teaching Youth

Emergency

Preparedness
For my junior project I am asking myself the question:

How can I teach younger students to be prepared in

an emergency situation?

Project Vision

I hope to go to different schools (including

our own) and prepare students for

emergency situations.

Curriculums
For this project I plan to present Prepare

With Pedro, a curriculum that teaches

kids to have a plan of escape in the event

of a fire. I also want to bring FAST to our

school which stands for first aid for

severe trauma. This teaches kids how to

use a tourniquet.

Mentors & Support

Why is This Important to me?

Sharing information with youth can make

waves of change and save lives in an

emergency.

My First Steps

My first steps are reaching out to the red

cross leaders and seeking the support from

our KCS Red Cross club.
