A. Cite two (2) events happened in the history of Filipinos.

Explain the reasons you have chosen that

situation.
1. Independence
because the Philippines marched towards independence with charismatic nationalist leaders,
including Jose Rizal, who was executed in 1896. However, after Spain`s defeat in the Cuban
War, the Philippines was handed over to the United States. Americans who defined guardians
and their roles as guardians contributed to rapid political, economic, and social development.
Then, when World War II broke out, the Japanese army invaded Japan, and a violent conflict
broke out. Finally, independence was achieved in 1946..
2.Battle of Mactan
The Battle of Mactan is one of the most important events in the history of the Philippines. And
This was the first uprising in our country and the first to overthrow the Spanish colonists. It
showed how the Filipinos fought fearlessly against foreigners who had conquered the country. I
have learned to love my country as myself. Our blood and our name were in it, and we are the
only ones to protect it.

B. Who among the president had better contribution in the Filipino History? Why?
Former President Ferdinand Marcos was a good president even under his regime. Marcos
was the reason why the Philippines gained the next plus ultra or highest point of its long history,
in terms of economic progress, advancement in infrastructures, and trade. And also, Ferdinand
Marcos was a generous man and always helped the poor by giving them free resources for their
needs, and was there to help all Filipino.
