À propos
Valentin Anceau is a 28-year-old artist living between Abidjan and Paris. He was born at the
beginning of the 90s in the south of France, in Montpellier, on the Mediterranean coast.

This young artist grew up between a working class neighborhood and a middle class
environment, which allowed him to mix graphic, musical and social worlds. He left the family
cocoon at 18 and flew to Paris where he discovered the capital and its effervescence. He then
began a long series of trips to Burkina Faso, Peru, Ivory Coast, India, Australia and Morocco.

It is notably following his first trip to Abidjan that he will become familiar with the emerging
Ivorian scene, and his work is obviously marked by these cultural transhumances. It is there that
he discovers a creative energy that he did not suspect and which shapes each of his works
today.

The diversity of his worldviews allows him to take a fresh and inspiring look at today's society,
considering himself as a great dreamer, utopian, storyteller or afro-optimist. It is in June 2019
that Valentin Anceau begins to create, alone in his corner and without pretention.

He then creates on what he is and what he is passionate about: design, fashion in which he
worked for a time, but especially the “other”. It's not surprising that his first work mixes
unknown territories, influencers and models in a very pop art universe, but above all a
reflection on the meeting of worlds.

In 2021, the artist asserts his imagination even more strongly and prepares several exhibitions,
in Montpellier, Abidjan and Madagascar, as well as a textile collection inspired by his collages.

 Digital The digital collages are compositions made from photos taken by
the artist and royalty-free photos. The goal is to transcribe the
feelings felt by the artist during his travels or his meetings.

 Valentin ANCEAU had his first exhibition in Saint-Tropez in the South of

Previous France in July 2021. It was a multi-artists exhibition taking place in a villa in
the South of France.
