This is a contemporary art wherein contemporary artist makes or currently making creative
artwork practices in art gallery. The contemporary art practices are possible using different kinds or
types to create simple art as long as the contemporary artists express their feelings by producing
creative artwork.

2. What are the characteristics of Contemporary Art Practices?

The characteristic of contemporary art practices are: Changes to accepted tradition and
accepted tastes wherein the artist is not afraid to create an art that against to public taste;
Understanding of a multiplicity of viewpoints wherein artist has interconnection to the people to
become part of their artwork; Issues and ideas about the role of objects in space and relationships
between objects wherein the artist use different object to maintain the balance and the harmony of an
artwork; Use of everyday materials wherein artist create art by using simple object that can be seen in
our house; lastly, Employment of Contemporary Technology wherein artist can now create artwork
using technology .

The different contemporary art practices are: Minimalism is an art that has simple arrangement;
Cubism is an art the that aim to develop new way of seeing from modern age; Social Realism is an art
which is realistic; Found Object is an art wherein the artist use natural material to create artwork;
Digital Application wherein the artist use technology to create artwork; Large Scale Art is an art that has
large scale; Collage is an art that create using different cut outs of newspaper or magazines;
Decalcomania is process wherein you are transferring image using glasses to your canvas; Decoupage is
an art that created by coating natural materials with different cut outs of paper; Festivals wherein it is
contain different art forms and styles; lastly, Rituals that practices of different region in Philippines.

4. What are the contemporary art practices in your region? How are you going to promote those art
practices?

Usually most of contemporary art practices that I know in Region 3 is festivals, we Filipinos loves
festival wherein we spend a lot of time and money to have wonderful festival to celebrate. I will
promote this by using social media like flexing or showing different festivals that every Filipino in region
3 celebrate, how religious Filipinos, and how worth it their time to celebrate with us because most of
people are now using social media wherein in one click or one search it is easy to access different
festivals that we celebrate.
