investment funds, namely, funds A, B, C. If he wanted to invest in investment
fund A thrice as much as his equal investments in funds B and C, how much
should he invest in each investment fund?

Fund A: Fund B: Fund C = 15:2: 3
Since Fund A is equal to thrice as much as the equal investments in funds B and C,
we will add the total investment for funds B and C, 2+3=5. Afterwards, we will
multiply the total investment for funds B and C into three so we can get the
proportion for fund A. Hence, the proportion for the retired employee’s investment
is 15:2:3.
