It all began when the Queen of Kunlun mountain gave an elixir as a gift for my husband, Hou Yi, in

recognition of his heroism. He did hesitate to take the magical potion by himself; henceforward, he
trusted me with his proposal to conceal this somewhere. Our secrecy was encountered by one of Hou
Yi's servants, Feng Meng, who is avaricious. One evening, when my husband went out hunting, Feng
Meng wielded his sword and broke into our house, threatening me and forcefully asking for the elixir. I
took the magic potion that gives immortality by myself to protect this from his robbery, which rosed me
up to the moon. It was figuratively a desert on the moon when we arrived. I became immortal and the
essence of Luna, with merely Jade Rabbit as my companion. Jade continues to make magical potions,
while I have the responsibility for the moon as a lunar deity. Henceforth, I wait for my only true love,
Hou Yi, on the moon forever and infinitely.

threatening me, demanding the elixir against my will. I took the magic potion that grants immortality by
myself in order to protect it from his robbery, and the effect was to raise me to the level of the moon.
When we arrived, it was figuratively a desert on the surface of the moon. I became immortal an d the
essence of Luna, and Jade Rabbit was my only companion during this time. My sister Jade continues to
concoct magical concoctions, while I, as a lunar deity, am in charge of looking after the moon. From now
on, I will remain on the moon, waiting for my one and only true love, Hou Yi, indefinitely and Infinitum.
