Design a job description and person specification for a retail organisation

Introduction
A job should be succinct and clear according to Bramick [2007] job description is
an instrument used by people who do not accurately how to perform the job.
Moreover to make employees perform their job well there has to be a clear and
specific job description . Once you are certain that you will need to take on a new
recruit you will need to create a job description and a person specification .The job
description are effective in term of productivity and in achieving the organisation
various objectives .A well written job description and person specification assists in
attracting the candidates for the job as they are clearly set out the main
accountabilities and enable potential applicant to match their skills and
experience .Job description has many forms but typically has a least four parts such
as a job summary , a list of job functions , requirements section and other
information .

Definition of terms
A job description mainly focuses by showing the general features of a job .In
order to play a leading a leading role in satisfising the demands of the market , an
organisation has to have all structured organisational unit . A job description is used
in the hiring process . According to Armstrong [2009] the job description identifies
the essential of the role , the broad purpose , the major duties , the terms and
conditions . A person specification describes the attributes to do the job to the
required standard according to Cushway [2003] .Job description are valuable tool
for communicating expectations , evaluating and managing performance
terminating employment if a employee cant meet the job requirements .

JOB PURPOSE
Nations Fourth Organisation is looking for a hardworking and passionate person to
join our team to work as part of the organisation . The organisation is a project for
young youths who have many challenges and obstacles in life . Nations Fourth
organisation helps in so many various ways and approaches that help build positive
relationships to help young people to progress in areas such as education ,
physical fitness and employment . The organisation is in need for someone to
contribute to the progression and execution of a strategy for the work of the
organisation . An worker to represent the Nations Fourth organisation to the wider
community .

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-To adhere to the policies and procedures of the organisation


-To undertake any other duties as required in discuss with the organisation
-To set up small groups and individuals mentoring sessions , volunteering
opportunities and discipleship groups
-To build appropriate networks with the local community organisations and
agencies
-To undertake training identified by management and attend development events
-To maintain knowledge of the educational developments relevant to the work of the
organisation
-To contribute to the development and implementation of a strategic plan for the
work of the organisation
- To monitor and evaluate the quality of youth experience
-To participate actively in regional , national and international forum relevant to the
work of the organisation
