1.

Prince Prospero hosts a party at his castle knowing that there is a pandemic going on
throughout the country known as Red death but he still calls about 1000 people over his
house where as a leader, He should’ve become more responsible as well as make sure that
all of them should take precautions and stay home for their own good rather than partying
with 1000 people and also should’ve provided basic necessities to the ones who couldn’t
afford.

2. Misuse of power: In the plot, Prince Prospero is a leader who misused his power and made a
careless and wrong decision by calling his own people at his castle for partying where he
could’ve provided basic essentials for others. This is a global issue like corruption in states
where the leader is misusing it own power and guiding others wrong.

Death: As 1000 people died at the same time due to the pandemic “Red death” in the story
can also be compared to the current situation “Covid 19” which is a major global issue that
has made the entire world suffer through death.

3. There are 7 rooms in the castle like blue, orange, purple, green, white, violet and the 7 th
room which was black but with red stained windows. The room signifies the different stages
from life to death.

4. The protagonist is Prince Prospero, He seemed a person who was healthy, happy, rich and a
leader as he allegedly locks out the plague from his castle. However, The red death,
representing and being a symbol for death itself, enters the and kills everyone within 30
minutes.

5. When the story starts, the narrator says that he will die tomorrow and he will be hung like
he killed Pluto and this foreshadows what may happen in the story too.

6. The narrator becomes harsher and more aggressive and has weird mood swings which might
be more irritating. The reason behind this was alcoholism as when he was drunk, he became
more violent and scary, or it was because of his mental illness.

7. The black cars colour can represent superstitions revolving around the colour black, one that
can also be shown when the wife says that black cats are witches in disguise, and how the
event that take place including the burning down of the house, may link to the hanging of
Pluto.

8. The name “Pluto” is known as the ‘god of death’ and that’s what the narrator names his cat
as, it can be said that Pluto was the reason that the narrator went crazy, and he was in fact a
symbol for death and madness that he caused to the narrator.

9. The wat the protagonist acts, his dialogues seem to describe him as a person who is going
through mental illness. The hearing of the heartbeat of the man who he killed due to his
hypersensitive hearing, and how he blames the officers of mocking him at the end, even
though the police couldn’t hear anything.
10. The fear of death and the fear of dying can be portrayed and seen evidently in the tell-tale
heart. In the start of the story, the narrator states that he has no real motive for killing, so
the vulture eye, maybe a symbol for death could have scared him into killing the old man.

11. The Evil Eye that the old man has is the only one reason that he kills him, it reminds him of a
vulture, a bird which symbolizes death. Its influence on the narrator is that it causes him to
commit murder as the eye seems to invoke some sort of fear or irritation to the narrator.

12. Tell tale heart can be based through the global issue if culture, identity and community as
the narrator seems to give a lot away about his mental illness and character development.
