‫َّ ْ َ ْ َ ه َ ْ َ ُ ُ َ َ ْ َ ُ ُ‬

‫َلِل ‪,‬نحمده ونست ِعينه‬ ‫ِإن الحمد ِ ِ‬


‫ونستغفره ‪,‬ونعوذ باهلل من رشور أنفسنا‬
‫هُ ََ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬ ‫ْ‬ ‫َ‬
‫‪,‬ومن سيئات أعمالنا ‪,‬من يه ِد ِه اَلِل فَل‬
‫ُ َّ َ ُ َ َ ْ ُ ْ ْ َ َ َ َ َ ُ‬
‫م ِضل له ‪,‬ومن يض ِلل فَل ه ِادي له‬
‫َ َ ْ َ ُ َ ْ َ َ َ َّ ه ُ َ ْ َ ُ َ رَ َ‬
‫شيك‬ ‫‪,‬وأش َهد أ َن َل ِإله ِإَل اَلِل وحده َُل ِ‬
‫ُ َ َّ ُ َ َّ ً َ ْ ُ ُ َ َ ُ ُ‬
‫له ‪,‬وأن محمدا عبده ورسوله‬
‫ْ‬ ‫َ َ ُّ َ ه َ َ ُ َ َ ْ َ ْ َ ْ ٌ ِّ َ ْ َ َ ٰ َ ُ ُ َ‬
‫َس أن َيكونوا خ ْْ ًيا ِّمن ُه ْم‬ ‫يا أيها ال ِذين آمنوا َل يسخر قوم من قو ٍم ع‬
‫]‪O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another‬‬
‫;‪people; perhaps they may be better than them‬‬
‫ْ‬ ‫َ َ َ ٌ ِّ ِّ َ َ َ ٰ َ ُ َ‬
‫َس أن َيك َّن خ ْْ ًيا ِّمن ُه َّن ۖ‬ ‫وَل ِنساء من نس ٍاء ع‬
‫‪nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be‬‬
‫‪better than them.‬‬
‫اِ ۖ‬
‫ْ َْ َ‬
‫َ‬ ‫ل‬ ‫اْ‬ ‫ب‬ ‫وا‬‫ُ‬‫َو ََل ََ ْلم ُُوا َأ ُنف َس ُُ ْم َو ََل ََ َن َاَ ُ‬
‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬ ‫ِ‬
And do not insult one another and do not call each other by
[offensive] nicknames.
َ ‫وق َب ْع َد ْاْل‬
ۚ ‫يم ِان‬
ُ ُ ُْ ُ ْ َ ْ
‫َِئس ِاِلسم الفس‬
ِ
Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one's] faith.
َ ُ ‫َ َ ه ْ َُ ْ َ ُ َٰ َ ُ ُ ه‬
‫﴾ ومن لم يتب فأول ِئك هم الظ ِالمون‬
‎ ١١﴿
And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the
wrongdoers. (11)
One among those ills is backbiting. It means that you say something about
someone in his/her absence which he/she wouldn’t like if said in his/her
presence. It doesn’t matter if the mentioned shortcoming or flaw is true or false.
If it is true then it is back biting, if false then it is an accusation, which also is a
grave sin.

Another social evil is tale-bearing, slandering, or spreading rumor

Hurts people’s feelings

Damages their confidence

Destroys relationships

Creates hatred between people
