Five Star Hotels

Dear Mr Rees,

Thank you for your letter of 21 June. I was very disturbed (1) ___by_____ your account of what happened in
our hotel last week, and I am writing to apologise (2) for this. I can understand that you were shocked (3) by
the way the employee spoke to you. There can be no excuse (4) for such behavior and I fully understand why
you felt the need to complain (5) about the situation. I can provide no explanation (6) for the way the
receptionist behaved.

Our hotel group has a reputation (7) for being good (8) at looking after our customers, and I am very sorry that
your experience (9) of our service did not confirm this. I intend to deal (10) with the staff member
appropriately and I will ensure that she does not repeat this behavior (11) by sending her on a retraining
course next week. I would like to assure you that the behavior you encountered is not typical (12) of our staff.

As the manager, I am responsible (13) for all off our employees so please accept my apologies again and this
voucher worth £50 to spend in any (14) of our hotels.

Your sincerely,

Clive Martin

Hotel Manager

I used Bright Now Home’s new in-store customer pickup for the first time this week. The service was a big time-
saver because my order was ready for me when I got to the store.

Unfortunately, I did not double-check my order before I left the store. When I arrived at the house I was working
on, I realized I had received only one of the two gallons of BN-101 paint I had ordered. I called the store
immediately, and the manager arranged for me to pick up the missing gallon of paint at the location closest to
where I was working. Also, he gave me my money back for both gallons. I will definitely use this service again!
