Serial number(s):
3. Possible occurrence of topic: Transport Maintenance

Tracking Others: Setup and
commissioning

4. Market area: EU, Others Canada, USA, Australia

5. Supplementary safety information including new hazard(s) identified, how to avoid the hazard(s)
and the potential consequences of not avoiding the hazard:
Sandvik has been informed about an accident when releasing the side doors of the SANDVIK QE140 and
the EXTEC ROBOTRAC (see picture “Machine Components Overview”). Releasing the other side door
(left or right), while the first door is in its upper position, but not properly secured as requested in the
instructions provided with the product, may cause unintended movement of both doors:
- the raised door will come down, causing a crushing hazard,
- the released door will go up, causing a moving object hazard.

WARNING
CRUSHING HAZARD
Releasing the second side door (left or right), while the other door
is open, but unsecured, may cause unexpected movement of the
doors.
This will cause a crushing hazard to anybody in the hazard zone,
which, if not avoided, could result in death or severe injury.
Until this system in question is upgraded you must operate only
one door at a time as per operating instructions. When releasing a
door, you must make sure that the opposing door is properly
secured.
Safe use of the equipment requires following the instructions
given in this bulletin and the product manuals.

Always make sure the correct procedures are followed during maintenance and operation tasks as shown
in the supplied documentation, bulletins and manuals.
When a procedure is not given or understood in the supplied documentation or manuals, contact Sandvik
Mobile Crushers and Screens for the correct safe procedure.
Note: This bulletin is not a “prohibition-of-use” bulletin. Your unit is safe to use, when accessing one side
door at a time, where this is done as per the instructions in the information for use.
