June 19th 2015, its all about the young girl named Riley
she is 11 years old moves to San Francisco, leaving
behind her life in Minnesota. She and her five core
emotion, fear, anger, joy and disgust and sadness,
struggle to cope with her new life. Now I talk about this
because being someone who has moved several times I
understand what riley is feeling shes very upset and sad
about how she had to leave all her friends behind, and I
observed emotion in this film, its ok to be sad on the
surface that’s one of the easier messages to take away
from inside out a movie where emotion frame the way
our brains store memories and influence our daily
interaction with the outside world by helping to creat
our personalities and the message by the end of the film
is that it is ok to be sad, inside out immediately makes an
assumption about how we perceive emotions sadness is
bad we all want to be happy everything sadness touches
it permanently changes or ostensibly for at least the
beginning of the film ruins and I guess I cant speak for
everyone but I think most of us just sort of accept that
nobody wants to be sad. This series is supposed to be
more about what animation taught us as children its
matter just the idea of no longer needing toys but
growing up inside out takes a hard dive into what it
means to grow up and how parts of us get stronger
while other parts wither or at least have to adapt but
what parts right there s an interesting thing that inside
out touches on possibly unintentionally but it structure
how character and ideas its generally a theological
concept but I think it applies here predestination vs
freewill or fate vs choice destiny vs decision the entire
film plays with the idea of who is actually in control are
her action just predetermined by her emotions or are the
emotion character responding to her choices. Everything
that happens in the film is Rileys brain reacting to outside
stimulus in order to protect her simply interpret how it
affect her so in other hand all that emotion dictates what
she will think and what she will do.
