friends, and guest, Good Morning! I am
very much overwhelmed of your
presence today as I am about to present
the state of the School Address (SOSA)
of Echague National High School
Echague NHS is located near the
Municipality of Echague and is the
biggest secondary school in the
municipality. It is composed of JHS and
SHS
To date, the school has a teaching force
of 74 teachers headed by school
Principal and assisted by Head Teacher,
six non-teaching staff: one bookkeeper,
2 disbursing officer, one guidance
counselor and 2 peace officers
Echague NHS is an institution that
provides well-disciplined, values-
oriented, and globally competitive
graduates imbued with the essential
knowledge and skills of productive
citizens of the community.
Echague NHS also commits to provide
quality classroom instruction by
imparting teaching through competent
and adequately trained teachers and
staff who demonstrate desirable values
and traits that shall explore all avenues
to gain commitment and greater
participation of stakeholder to school
program, projects, and activities.
With the mission – vision the school has
boosted lots of improvements in both
academic and nonacademic
competitions amidst pandemic. I am
very grateful to all the faculty and staff
for you hard work and dedication. We
have accomplished a lot. We are very
good, but we can be great. My dear
teachers, parents, and stakeholders, out
task indeed will go beyond the highest
realm of our individual calling. We
become paragons of teaching to our
students as we continue ourselves to
strive for excellence
Last year, we were able to harvest the
fruits of our toils. We are awarded SBM
Level 3 of practice or advanced
accredited Ensuring the production of
intended outputs, outcomes and
meeting all standards of a system fully
integrated in local community and is
self-renewing and self-sustaining.
Just this year, we are awarded Best
Performing School 2nd place in the
Division of Isabela. Dr. Lucena D.
Colobong awarded as Most Outstanding
Master Teacher 2nd place in the Division
of Isabela. The workforce and the
student body comprise a strong and the
student body comprise a strong and rich
human resource which is evident in the
awards and recognition garnered by
teachers and students in various
academic contest and non-academic
competitions in all events. These
competitions range from division,
regional and national level. It has also
produced competent graduates who
have become assets in their universities
and colleges and in the community,
students coming from ENHS are
equipped with relevant skills which
make them become more useful in the
community.
Our endeavors are focused on the
continuous empowerment of our
school’s performance for SY 2021-2022,
our drop-out rate is .34% or 7 students
out of 2037.the enrolment has increased
for SY 2020 – 2021 and SY 2021-2022
the number of enrollees increased from
1,902 to 2037. For this SY 2022-2023
our enrollees is 2,244.
On the other hand, the school is also
fortunate to have very supportive
stakeholders who are willing to give
donations. This year donations is
amounting to 10,115,016. The PTA
officials also work hand in hand with the
school especially in the implementation
of school program and projects.
They donated submersible water pump
amounting to 19,350 and conference
table amounting to 23000. For two
pandemic years, participation of PTA
and parents gathering is 100%. Non-
government organization and other
government agencies have made
linkages with the school and have
helped provide assistance for the
development of potentials among
students
To strengthen the implementation of our
Mantra, “Sa SDO Isabela, walang
batang Maiiwan”, Echague NHS has a
created a reading program(ANG LIBRO –
Reading remediation and Intervention)
to respond the needs of the students
who have reading deficiencies. The effect
of this two year pandemic ay marami
pong batang di marunong bumasa. For
this SY we identified 54 learners in
grade 7 and 29 learners in grade 8. In
just 2 months 17 out of 54 and 10 out
of 29 ay marunong na pong bumasa.
We have also open two special programs
in JHS (STE and SPJ) Special Science
Program and Special Program in
Journalism. Luckily we passed all the
requirements set by the validating team
of the Department of Education Region
2. This special programs are designed
to develop students with higher aptitude
for science math and journalism. The
special science class program is now on
its second year of implementation and
special program in journalism is on first
year of implementation.
As to staff development aspects, virtual
school based INSET were conducted
every year. Almost all teachers were able
to attend Division virtual trainings. In
the current school year, the highest
educational attainment of most teachers
is MA degree with 27 out of 74 total
number of teachers. 10 attained
doctorate degree and the rest have
Masteral and doctoral units.
As an educational institution, the
teachers are very important human
resources, tasked to assist the learners
in attaining knowledge and enhancing
their skills and talent. There is a 1:50
teacher to student ratio as of SY 2022-
2023. In the aim to further enhance the
academic journey of each student
amidst pandemic and to fully implement
the k12 curriculum textbook/SLM’s
were provided.
This year, the guidance and counseling
center has lined up several activities
and programs like symposium, career
guidance program and personality
development program to further
facilitate student.
On physical facilities a total of 30 JHS
classrooms and 6 classrooms for SHS.
How ever much as the school has a lot
to proud of, there are also a few aspects
where the school needs to focus and
improve these includes Science
Laboratories and 11 classrooms with
2,244 students, classrooms cannot
accommodate them all. So, we have
blended modality for this SY, 4 in class
and 1-day modular distance learning.
And 3 days in class, 2-day modular
distance learning to accommodate the
2,244 learners.
3 months from now our school
gymnasium is now ready for various
programs and school events. However,
the school needs to provide covered walk
for the convenience of everyone. For the
past years students were walking under
the sun. The leveling up of floor ground
of grade 10 department, small amount
of rain will cause flood of the
classrooms. Let us join hands together
in looking for donors to support this
project.
In this age of mobile technology,
multimedia equipment is very
important. As of sy 2020-2021, a total of
45 functional computers for instruction,
50 tablets, sound system, karaoke, LCD
projector, television, and water
dispensers used to enhance classroom
instruction.
Site ownership is guaranteed through a
deed of donation by the local
government unit of Echague and
donated it to the Deped Echague NHS.
Amidst all these challenges, ENHS
stands as a growing institution. These
legacies that we engrave to our students
maybe an instrument of hopes and
aspirations that we are one in our quest
to educate the young who are the future
leaders of tomorrow. With your constant
support and dedication, I salute you all.
Thank you to the collaborative effort of
providing quality and inclusive
education amidst pandemic brought by
COVID19. Everyone is able to overcome
and survive in the new normal.
When we work together, we can achieve
great things
Thank you so much!
