Justification of the Request for the Delivery of Blended Learning Modality

To justify the request of the school, the school planning team gathered the
data to present the needs of the school, increase in enrolment, number of available
classrooms, class size and number of classrooms and seats needed for the
implementation of 5-days in person classes

Based from the gathered data stated above, the SPT maximize the number of
leaners in each section for Grade 9 and 10 accommodate all learners. The
school is still lacking 8 classrooms for Grade 7 and Grade 8. To add additional
contact hours for the two curricula, the 8 sections will occupy the rooms of
Grade 9 and Grade 10 every Wednesdays. The 3 sections for special programs
(STE and SPJ) will be 5 days in-person classes.

On the other hand, the OLD ISU Building which was utilized during the
opening of classes were being stopped after the NSBI Monitoring conducted by
the DepEd Engineers. It was found out that said building is for demolition and
not advisable for classroom instruction purposes.

Meanwhile, SHS has 2 buildings with 6 classrooms each with a total of 12

classrooms. There are 14 SHS sections as per LIS but the 6 classrooms were
currently utilized by the JHS specifically the Grade 9 department. As a result,
SHS now only have 6 classrooms. To suffice the needs in classroom, First Floor
of the COMLAB were converted into 2 classrooms and Science Laboratory also
converted into classrooms.

Conclusion and Recommendation

1. Classroom Program

Starting November 2, 2022, the school will still implement the blended
learning modality wherein, Grade 7 and 8 regular sections will continue the 3 days
in person classes and two-days online and modular learning, Grade 9 and 10 for 4
days in-person classes and one day online learning and STE and SPJ for 5 days in-
person classes.

In addition, SHS require face to face classes four times a week. Due to lack
of classrooms, all vacant periods of Grade 12 curriculum put together in one day so
that other section can utilize the room while Grade 11 utilized 3-2 scheme.
