Lab Assignment 01

Name Muhammad Farhan

Registration Number SP20-BSE-049

Class Section 6A

Teacher’s Name Dr. Tahir Mustafa Madni

Design Flaws:
Act 1:

 Too much Clutter and too much information.

 Content is not organized in a useful way.
 The header has many useless headings.
 Color combination is not good.
 Icons or images are not clear enough to understand.
 Colors are not generic, like red color creates conflict as it is a sign of danger in most countries but
sign of happiness in china.
 No navigation bar or menu.
 Wide spaces are not used.
 Font size not properly followed.

ACT 2:
1. The slide bar is not feasible in this design as it implements the system in a
sequential way so if you want to edit a template in the middle of the collection it
would be hard to locate so instead we can add a navigation bar and search bar in the
system where we can simply enter the template we previously liked and switch to
that template instantly.

2. Another feature that can be added is that the slide can be open in another image
view where we can easily see and edit contents because in the current UI the
contents of the template are not easily visible.
Act 3:

After choosing the city and branch, it displays the further option (Figure 1.4).

Figure 1.4: City and Branch Option

On the next step, the user is asked for the further contact information (Figure 1.5).
Figure 1.5: Contact Information Option
Address and e-mail address are already filled in. But the user must enter his phone number.
Further in city/town, even though Islamabad is already selected but it is not a valid selection,
the user must click on it to reveal a drop down menu as shown below (Figure 1.6).

Figure 1.6: Shipping Information

Solution:
1. All task are being performed on single page.

2. Red color is being used which may create a conflict.

3. Order details are not clear as what we are ordering.

4. The navigation bar seems empty in the display we can add the name of the
restaurant that is “Dominos” next to the logo.

5. Instead of asking the user for address every time he/she orders we can save their
address upon signing up and reuse it so it would make the design efficient and save
the user from hassle of entering the address every time they order. There should be
a choice for the user if they want to use the previous address or enter a new one for
the delivery.

6. The system should also ask for the postal code.
