This is to certify that Ms. Naga Kalpana Potluri was under training at our F&B research division
of The Hangout Guntur, Andhra Pradesh to assume the role of “Food Service Supervisor”.
Food Service Supervisors are part of the expansion team and they are usually trained for a
period of six months in all the departments of the restaurant. Ms. Kalpana had undergone
extensive training in all the areas of restaurant management since Kalpana had no prior
hospitality experience. This is a mandatory six-month training given to all the employees, who
are new to the Hospitality industry and after the successful completion of the training
including the pre requisite assessments of the employee, Kalpana was placed as a full time
“Food Service Supervisor” at The Hangout, Guntur. Ms. Kalpana was part of the

Ms. Kalpana’s training included the following disciplines of the Restaurant management.
Food & Beverage Production: This area of restaurant management primarily focusses on
preparation of food, the method in which raw materials are cooked, handling of kitchen
equipment, recipe conceptualization.
Food & Beverage Service: This is the process of preparing, presenting and serving food to
customers. Most importantly handling all the in-house dining issues.
Hygiene & Food Safety: This is the most important aspect of restaurant management as this
area predominantly highlights cleanliness, grooming etiquettes, and complying with the
states hygiene policies.
Management Principles & Practices: This is a discipline that majorly deals with planning,
organizing, staffing, leading and controlling.
Hospitality Law: It is a legal and social practice related to the treatment of patrons.
Organizational Behaviour: This is the study and application of knowledge about human
behaviour and interpersonal skills in order to improve efficiency within the teams.
In conclusion, Ms. Naga Kalpana Potluri had finished her training through a diligent endeavor
to exceed all the expectations, surprising many veterans of the Hospitality fraternity. Kalpana
had been a great team player and ever-present inspiration for most of her peers. I give high
marks to her professional and personal conduct during the entire training program.
