Letter of Concern

Dear Mrs. Ross,

Hello, this is Ms. Whaley Parker’s 4th grade teacher. I am reaching out to you with a concern
about his glasses.
The concern is that he has not been wearing them to class at all for a few days now. Without
them, he is struggling in class by not being able to see the board which makes it difficult to
complete his work. I had asked him what happened to them and he responded by saying that he
broke them. Now this may all well be the case as far as I know. I understand that glasses can be
easily broken and getting a replacement may take a while to receive. If this is the case, please let
me know. I am happy to make accommodations, such as making printouts of what will be on the
board, until he has received new ones so that he may complete his work.
However, if this is not the case then I am worried that he may be being made fun of for his
glasses. I have personally not seen any bullying within my class, but it could be possible that it
could be happening outside of class or even online.
No matter what the cause of the issue may be, I am willing to work with you to fix it. If you
would like we could schedule a meeting or call to plan on how to go about this issue. My contact
information is shown below.
Thank you for your time,
Ms. Whaley

Letter of appreciation

Dear Mrs. Taylor,

I hope you are having a delightful spring weekend! This is Ms. Whaley and I just wanted to say
how grateful I am for the books and magazines that you have donated to my class. These
materials will be a great help in my student’s learning. The books will provide them with a wide
range of wonderful reading material to explore and the magazines will provide them with
pictures to write about!
Once again, I wanted to thank you for your generous donation to my class. I hope you have a
wonderful week and an even better summer!
Thank you,
