Basic Fantasy is being continuously updated. The Old Dungeoneers

Almanack was split into supplements and the monsters used to create
the Field Guide. Some of the creatures of the Field Guide have been
moved into newer editions of the core rules.

There are occasional miss-markings of creatures in either source. Notably:

Assassin Vine - the books have yet to put an asterisk behind the Hit
Die although the latest XP values reflect one special ability. As of
10/2014.
Vampire - has yet to put a double dagger behind the armor class,
even though it is only harmed by magical weapons. As of 10/2014.

XP Values:
For creatures that were as a normal type but were also Shamans,
Warlocks, etc., I calculated XPs using the base value for their hid die
and special bonus per the Thus: level of the extra ability.

Kobold Shman HD 1d4 HP 2nd level cleric abilty: 10 + 25 = 35

Kobold Shman HD 1d4 HP 3rd level cleric abilty: 10 + 30 = 40
Kobold Shman HD 1d4 HP 4th level cleric abilty: 10 + 40 = 50
Kobold Shman HD 1d4 HP 5th level cleric abilty: 10 + 45 = 55

Cloaker:
Somewhere around release 4 or 5 of the field guide the Cloaker's statistics were
changed. They used to be: Cloaker (AC 19, HD 10** (+9), #At 1 tail + special, Dam 1d6 + special, Mv 10' Fly 40', Sv F10, Ml 7

Saves:
C = cleric.
F = fighter
MU Magic-User
N/A = Not applicable.
NM = normal man.
T = Thief

Hit Die Sort: This is numeric, based it on the values used for looking up
XP values and attack bonuses, ignoring most pluses and minuses, and
treating 1-1 hit die or less as 0.
Some items are not numeric. If something looks numeric but sorts
wrong make sure the cell is formatted for number (“General” seems to
work) and re-enter the number.

Check vs. Rulebook: Added the name in the rule book, XP value, and
# appearing to compare vs the rulebook data.
Used by laying out rule-book data the same way and putting them in
the same column and sorting to see which ones look different. One
columns being either “Rules” or “Spreadsheet”.
Using a separate spreadsheet.
