-Provide a brief description of the product/software:

The ABCya software provides many educational games and activities for grades pre-k through
6th grade, it was created by teachers and parents. The product that I selected that would be a fun
learning activity was a BINGO game for students who are learning their alphabet and sounds.
Before you start the game there are instructions made simple and direct for younger students
understanding how the game works and get a reward if you win the game.

-What are the strengths and weaknesses of the product/software?

The strengths that the software has it has many activities and access to activities for students and
as well for teachers that I personally liked, The software does help teach students other
languages, made easy to use for students, its engaging

The weakness of the software it does have ads on the website if you buy the subscription, it does
get rid of the ads. Having the software without buying it, you don’t have access to the other
things that software has only the games and a few activities.

-Is the product/software easy for you and the students to use? Explain.

Yes! It was easy to navigate the software and would be easy to use for students. The games it had
explained what to do and the activity videos as well. For the younger students like kindergarten
or kids with special needs to be explained a bit better, but it was east to use.

-Does the software serve its intended purpose, which is classroom use? Explain.

Yes! If you do the subscription that gives you a bit more access to more of the subject it does
serve its purpose in a classroom. But if you don’t have a subscription, you can always use the
games and they are educational for students who are just learning their ABC’s and language.
-Are there multiple forms of media (audio, video, and textual communication channels)
that encourage the student to engage with the software? Explain.

Yes, the software had many learning videos that I found educational and explained on the
activity and as well the games they had for the subject. Again, when you get the subscription,
you do have more access to other activities and learning videos on the subject.

-Is the documentation for the product/software, such as technical support, instructions on
how to use the product, and hardware requirements presented clearly on the website?
Explain.

For the product I picked out, before you start the game it doesn’t show the exact instructions, but
it does give you options on how many columns you want or if you want to do the letters or
sounds of the letters for the bingo game. On some activities on other products did have
instructions on how to play the games and activities.

-Is the software adaptable to support specific accessibility needs of learners with
disabilities? Explain.

Yes, it does have educational videos and activities that the software provides. The BINGO game
can be adaptable for learners with disabilities. The game is simple and engaging, I liked how it
does have the sounds of the letter option because that would be helpful for students who are non-
verbal.

-Does the software program give appropriate feedback to responses (assessment)?

Yes, the program does have positive reinforcement after a video activity.

Parents and teachers do recommend this software for students, it engages them and the video
games that the program has make students want to keep learning.

-Can the skill levels be adjusted by the student/instructor? Explain.

Yes, depending on where the student is at with his/her language. The game can be adjusted to
learning the letter or sounds for the game.
