Look at the illustration on international arrivals below. Answer the five key questions

that follow.

1. What is the message?


- The message of this picture is all about the cross-cultural communication. As I

observed in the picture they are having difficulty on how to communicate and percieve

to one another. This is mainly because they all have different languages and culture.

2. What is the purpose of the message?


- the purpose of the message is to help everyone effectively in order to inform us the

good way in communicating and being aware of our perceptions towards others.

3. How is the message conveyed (by the text and/or image)?


- The people in the scenario had different dimension of culture that affects the way

they communicate. The image effectively represents reality which can be demonstrated

or portrayed in a variety pf ways.

4. Who is the target audience of the message?


- the target audience of the message is everyone to become more knowledgeable in

dealing people with different cultures.

5. What other ways of presenting the message are there?


- the message was conveyed by the use of
a careful juxtaposition of text and illustration, and also the use other semiotics or

elements such as color combinations. The message was also conducted by the gestures

and movements of the characters.
