Chapter IV

Result and Discussions

This chapter shows the results and discussion obtained from the gathered

data. The results gathered from a set of questionnaires given to 32 Grade 10

diamond students of Alabel National Science High School were interpreted

based on the analysis presented.

The passing rate that the researchers had computed out of 50 as the total

score was 43 which was 85% of the total score. The percentile rank of the

passing grade was the 59th which means that 42% of the total population passed

the mathematics examination while 58% of students did not passed. (see

appendix B, table 4.1)

The graph shows the factors affecting the students on their results

referring to the 3rd quarter examination of Mathematics. Coping Ability, being the

1st factor of affecting the students majorly, a total of 26 out of 32 students having

a low skill of understanding and coping. In 2 nd place comes in Study Habits of the

students garnering a total of 24 out of 32 students. In 3 rd position referring to the

data is the amount of students receive relating to the load of works they

encounter having a total of 22 out of 32 students. 4 th position being the students

encountering pressure to the subject; a total of 12 out of 32 students. In 5 th, the

teaching style the teacher refers, whether it being lacking or enough; a total of 11

out of 32 students. In last place, referring to competence between the students
