CDL Part A Inspection.

1. Clearance lights: no crack, no damage, no missing lenses, no missing hardware, Amber


color, working properly.

2. Windshield : no crack, no damage, no chips, no illegal stickers, registration sticker and


inspection sticker are up to date.

3. Rubber seal around windshield: no crack , damage, properly attached to the frame of the
cabin and windshield.

4. Windshield wiper arm: no crack, not bent, properly attached to the frame.

5. Windshield wiper blade: no crack, no damage, properly attached to the arm and properly
attached to the windshield.

6. Hood: no crack , no damage, no holes, locked and Secured with lock notch.

7. Grill: properly secured to the hood, no crack, no damage, no missing bolts, properly
protects the radiator.

8. Convex of mirror: properly attached to the hood, no missing hardware.

9. Bracket of the convex of mirror: not bent, properly attached, no crack , no damage.

10. Mirror: properly attached to the bracket, no crack, no damage, no missing lens, glass is
clean, no crack no damage.

11. Head light, turn signal light, marker light: properly attached to the hood, not shifting, no
crack , no damage, no missing hardware, it is clean, Turn signal and Marker light are
Amber color.

12. Bumper: properly attached to the frame with the bolts, tight and secure, it has no crack,
no damage, not bent.

13. Plate number: no crack, no damage, not bent, properly attached to the bumper with bolts,
clean.

14. Underneath of the truck: no puddle, no oil leak, no antifreeze leak.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT:

Unlock 2 sides
15. Using the handle: I grab and pull it and second hand holds the hood.

16. I start from the right side.

17. Alternator : no crack, no damage, properly attached to the engine with bolts, cables in the
back of the alternator properly attached with nuts tight and secure . Cables in the back are
not cracked, not damaged. Alternator is belt driven.

18. Water pump: properly attached to the engine, no crack, no damage. Hoses properly
attached with the clamps. No antifreeze leak. Water pump is also belt driven.

19. Serpentine belt: no crack , no damage, not worn, tension of serpentine belt no more than
3 /4 (quarter) inch free play.

20. General overview of engine compartment: all hoses are properly secured with the clamps,
no cut , no damage, no bulges, no antifreeze leak, no air leak.

21. I m going to other side. Driver's side.

22. Air compressor: properly attached to engine. No crack, no damage, air line on the top of
the compressor is properly secured and tight, no air leak, airline has no crack, no damage,
not bent. Air compressor is gear driven. On the back of air compressor is governor.

23. Governor is properly attached to compressor. There are two lines: properly attached to
the governor, tight and secure, no crack, no damage, no air leak.

24. Underneath of air compressor is power steering pump. It is properly attached to the
engine, no crack, no damage. Power steering pump is gear driven. Hoses are properly
attached with the clamps, no oil leak.

25. Cooling reservoir . Is properly attached to the frame with the bolts, no crack, no damage,
hoses are properly attached with the clamps, no antifreeze leak. Cap is tight and secure,
rubber inside has no cut, no damage, no antifreeze leak. Level is supposed to be above
ADD.

26. Power steering fluid reservoir: is properly attached to the bracket with the bolts and the
frame ;.has no crack or damage, not shifted, Reservoir has no crack , no damage, hoses
are properly attached with the clamps, has no oil leak. The cap is tight and secure, the
rubber seal inside has no crack or damage, no oil leak. Oil level is supposed to be
between min and max

27. Windshield fluid reservoir : properly attached with bracket with bolts, no crack , no
damage, no fluid leak and the cap is tight and secure.

28. Oil dip stick: you need to take it out, wipe it , put it back in and take it out again to check
the oil level. Oil level is supposed to be in operating range.

29. Now I’m doing general over view of engine compartment.

30. All hoses : have no cuts, no damage, no bulges, no abrasions, tight and secure with
clamps , no antifreeze leak, no air leak.

31. I going to view the Suspension system: 

32. Power steering shaft: properly attached with U joints, no missing bolts, and properly
lubricated, Free play of the shaft is no more than 10 degrees.

33. Gear box: properly attached to the frame with bolts , no crack no damage, no oil leak,
hoses properly attached to the gear box Low Pressure line, High Pressure line and hoses
have no cuts , no damage, no bulges, no oil leak

34. Pitman arm, Drag link, Upper control arm , Lower control arm, Tie rod . They have no
crack, no damage, they are not bent, they are properly connected to each other with a
castle nod not and cuter pin.

35. Shock absorber is properly attached to the frame with the bolts, no crack, no damage,
properly attached to axel . Rubber seal Rubber bushing inside: no crack, no damage, no
oil leak on this portion of the shock absorber 

36. Spring leaf hanger is properly attached to the frame , no missing bolts, no crack, no
damage, , no illegal welding repair .

37. Spring leaf is properly attached to spring leaf hanger. Spring leaf has no crack, no
damage, not shifted, properly attached to the axel, with the saddle and U bolts 

38. Now I m checking braking system

39. Airline is properly attached to the frame, Brake chamber. ABS line no cut, no damage,
no abrasions, no bulges, no air leak

40. Abs line has no crack no damage, properly attached with the airline with clamps.

41. Brake chamber is properly attached to the axel , no crack , no damage.

42. C-clamp is tight and secure, no air leak.

43. Push Rod has no crack no damage, not bent 

44. Slack adjuster has no crack, no damage. Slack adjuster and Push Rod are properly
attached to each other with clevis pin and cotter pin. Push Rod -free play when break is
released has no more than 1 inch

45. Looking inside: Break liner no less than quarter inch , Brake drum has no crack , no
damage, no illegal welding repair. Between break liner and Brake drum there is no
debris, no oil. Rim inside has no crack , no damage , no illegal welding repair , not bent

46. Tire inside has no cut, no damage, no bulges On top the thread no less than 4/32nd .
Outside there is no cut, no damage, no bulges, Rim outside-no crack, no damage, not
bent, no illegal welding repair

47. Lug nods no missing, they are tight and secure, no shining thread which re present
looseness of log nods

48. Stem valve: : no crack, no damage, not bent, the cap is present, supposed to check the
tire pressure with tire pressure gauge. The tire pressure is depends on the manufacturers
specification of tire

49. hop seal has no crack, no damage, properly secured with the bolts, the seal inside is
present: has no crack, no damage, has no oil leak
