I remember it was in the middle of July that my family visited my
grandparents. At first, the weather was very nice with lovely sunshine and not any cloud in the sky. I walked around some shops and enjoyed the peaceful moment in the countryside. However, without any forecasts, it suddenly poured down. The wind started to howl and the whole sky was full of black clouds. It appeared like a thunderstorm, which made me feel a bit scary because I was always afraid of thunder. It was raining cats and dogs. After about 10 minutes, the roads were full of water. The water was almost up to my knees. The swift wind pushed me here and there, and I got drenched. The sky grew dark and it started to thunder. I tried to run as fast as I could to go back home. My clothes was wet and I was shivering. I had never seen such a torrential rain like that before. The heavy rain lasted nearly 2 weeks and left many consequences. A lot of houses were flooded and seriously destroyed. Some people were swept away and still nowhere found yet. What a terrible disaster.
