1. Explain in your words the Virtue of ethics.

- Virtue ethics focuses on the virtue or moral character of the person performing an activity
as opposed to ethical obligations and norms or the results of specific actions. As opposed to
emphasizing behaviors, the idea of virtue ethics places more emphasis on character growth
and the virtues that one should acquire to be the person they should be. An example of this
is someone who possesses these virtues, such as patience, kindness, love, and generosity.

2. Give 2 example in the following

- Ethics of care
- Agent based theory
- Eudaimonism

Ethics of care
-The phrase "the ethics of care" alludes to the moral import of the fundamental dependence
and relationships in human life. Care ethics promotes the wellbeing of caregivers and
recipients within a web of social connections in an effort to maintain relationships.

1st example
- When someone you know recently experienced a contentious breakup with her lover. You
don't really know her well but when you offer her a hug, this is an illustration of moral
concern.

2nd example
- When a nurse in a conflict area attends to a patient of a different nationality, this is an
illustration of how contemporary nursing ethics of care are put to use.

Agent based theory

-According to an agent-based explanation, virtues are decided by commonsense intuitions
that we, as observers, consider to be good qualities in others.

1st example
- An illustration of an agent-focused theory is Aristotelian theory. Agent-based theories, in
comparison, are more radical in that they base their appraisal of actions on moral
judgements about the inner lives of the agents who carry out those activities.

2nd example
- A man with his desires in the proper balance truly enjoys being reasonable.

Eudaimonism
- is a moral theory that holds "well-being" to have intrinsic value and defines appropriate
activity as that which leads to the "well-being" of the individual.

1st example
- a life spent battling. Life is about pushing oneself to the maximum and succeeding. The
enjoyment that comes from overcoming a really difficult task rather than just having it
handed to you will be abundant in a eudaimonistic life.

2nd example
- when you lived a life of sensuous pleasure and did whatever to further get that goal.
