D. Answer the following questions in 3-5 sentences. (5 pts each)

1. What are the contribution of humanities to the society?
- By studying the humanities, we can analyze human thought processes and create
records of human existence. Through the works of art he/she created, this pioneer
would document his/her interactions and experiences with others. This would
explain how the existing situation got about and how it would continue to
influence the future. What do you think are the challenges you will encounter in
studying humanities and the arts?

2. Do you think that humanities as a concept and field of study will change in the next
ten to twenty years from now? Justify your answer.

- No, because learning about the humanities improve our understanding of our
identity as a people, a society, and a culture, as well as how to structure our
societies to attain our objectives.  Engaging in the study of the humanities will enable
us to describe how people process and document their existence. So it is very important
that we must never change anything even a single word because that word might
change the whole study.

3. Choose one concept of Humanities and briefly explain.

- Synchronic Approach, this method examines the structure or features of a work of art.
This approach talks about the artwork's brush stroke technique, pigments used, art style,
its medium, and more. This approach helps us on how to analyze an artwork for us to see
on what the artist wants to express.

4. Define art.
- Art is art, a type of art that is sometimes seen as distinct from other things since it is a
collective phenomenon. It is no longer sufficient to merely see something. It has been
replaced by something less intriguing and more abstractly beautiful. It is art because it
would be art if it could! The public would adore it! People would think that they could
solve their own problems just by creating art.
