Article Review on Education/ Recent Education Researches Analysis

For Midterm

The article "Marxism and education," by Rikowski, addresses the two

holes in society: the open and closed holes. It was clearly stated that the main
problems in society were the ruling class and the laborers, which led to a
certain problem. It was also stated that the holes led to the belief of a
communist society. Additionally, the article clearly defines capitalism, Marx’s
idea, and the two classes in society and puts this idea into the implications for
the education system. It was good that the author first defined capitalism and
supported ideas by citing other research studies. He also used or cited Marx’s
book in support of the other details. Yet, the article is quite vogue due to the
lack of examples and support for the information given.

Overall, this article was quite good in the beginning and improved until
the end. The best part of the article is in paragraph three due to the examples
and information stated. It helps in clarifying ideas that are missing in the first
and second paragraphs. Overall, it was a good, well-written article with an
important message to the readers.

I suggest that the authors should explain further the concepts and
ideas of the philosophy with supporting details and examples.
