Position Paper

The Bee Movement firmly advocates for the equality of all people in America. We will

achieve this through the support of our minority citizens, providing affordable access to

education and healthcare, and protecting the environment. The overarching issue that we aim to

tackle is the current divide in American society. This country is divided because of a lack of

necessary reforms in places such as school curriculums and the justice system, potentially our

most influential encounters - learning what is right and wrong. Upon satisfying our goals, we

hope to unify America under one purpose: leave no one beehind.

By supporting minorities we assure that everyone feels welcome regardless of race,

gender, religion, disability, or socioeconomic class. Humans are born to love; hatred is a learned

response. Therefore, to erase that hatred, we must change what we are taught. For too long,

American history has cherry-picked the truth about slavery, racism, sexism, and homophobia

from the timeline, censoring the struggle of minorities in order to promote a “white savior”

narrative. The encouragement of non-discriminatory curriculums in school will shift the narrative

from one that targets minorities to one that accepts them. Students who identify as LGBTQ+

should be allowed the right to express themselves freely. Black, Indigenous, People of Color

(BIPOC) students should be respected and held to the same standards as every other student.

Affirmative Action leads minorities to believe that their race or heritage influences their chances

of getting into college, due to a potential diversity quota. Minorities are not a statistic to boast

about, they are human beings. Acts like the “Stop Woke Act” feed into the censorship, ignoring

citizens’ First Amendment right to freedom of speech. The drastic incarceration gap between

BIPOC and white people proves that our justice system is racially biased against BIPOC. We
must shed light on the past — the centuries of discrimination that America was built upon — in

order to create a better future for our citizens.

Accessibility and affordability of education and healthcare are crucial to our society. We

need educated minds to continue innovating for America, to advance the country towards new

solutions. However, in communities with lower-income rates, not everyone is guaranteed an

education. To solve this, we are supporting free tuition for two-year community colleges.

Graduates who earn an associate’s degree from college will achieve more employment

opportunities, and as a result, expand the workforce. We intend to raise the current budget for

healthcare services including Medicare, chemotherapy, substance abuse counseling, and suicide

prevention programs, to accommodate for the growing population and recent pandemic. These

resources protect all citizens, including the homeless population. The ongoing homelessness

crisis will not be solved by funding alone, we must provide resources to put our citizens back on

their feet. The Bee Movement will show that there is still hope for the struggling American. As

strong proponents of a woman’s right to choose for her own body, we also aim to legalize

abortion nationwide for all cases. It should not be up to a government separate from the people to

dictate what a person is allowed to do to their own body. We will solidify this freedom so that no

citizen is ostracised for their decisions either.

The environment plays the biggest role in the sustainability of America. It may not be

controllable to fit our desires, but together we can develop routines to adapt to it. Some believe

that the environment is not a major concern, but studies have proven time and time again the

persistence of climate change. Under the Bee Movement, every new home will be equipped with

solar-powered roof panels to harness renewable energy. With the rise of electric cars, the

addition of charging stations will be mandatory in gas stations. Neighborhood cleanups and
reusable products (straws, bags, water bottles, etc.) encourage residents to reduce their carbon

footprint by reducing the amount of litter they throw away. Power and water saving protocols

will be held bimonthly to conserve energy and regulate energy bills. By maintaining the safety of

the planet, citizens live better lives.

The Bee Movement recognizes the benefits in mutual compromises between America’s

citizens and those of other nations. Compromises appease the divided country and produce

realistic standards. We believe in free trade and that there should be less restrictions on the flow

of imports and exports. We want to maintain a good rapport with allies so that they can provide

help in both peacetime and wartime, if need be. For immigration and gun control, we hope to

reform the system, starting from background checks, so that the procedures are easier and more

organized while still valuing safety. We shall implement a wealth tax on America’s top 10%

earners, while cutting military spending, which contributes to the planned healthcare expansion.

When we work together as a country, we can reach our full potential. The future ahead is

bright for all of our citizens. The Bee Movement represents the diversity, equality, and inclusion

that America needs. With the Bee Movement, no one is left beehind.
