An opinion essay

The True Meaning of marriage

Importance of family
My family relationship

Marriage, as we all know, is the union between man and woman expressing their love to each
other with the blessing of God. In which there are types of marriage such as the contractual
marriage and the traditional marriage. The contractual marriage arrangement or also called as
civil wedding usually suggests that the couple will be legally bound to one other for the rest of
their lives or until they divorce. The ceremony is presided either by the mayor or legal official
such as judge. Being married also gives sexual connections within the marital legitimacy. While
in the traditional marriage, marriage itself has always been seen as crucial to the preservation of
morals and culture, and the ceremony is presided by the priest or a pastor. The true meaning of
marriage is based from different person’s perception. But for me, I agree to the Christian
meaning, marriage is frequently viewed by Christians as a Holy Covenant before God. Most
Christians appear to agree that two people become one unit when they pledge their love for each
other. It may thus be claimed that the majority of people believe marriage is the joining of two
spirits, bodies, and souls.
Next is the importance of family. Family is the ultimate foundation that every individual need.
Family contributions and relevance are by far the most extensive topic of discussion. Every
crucial function in a person's life is performed by their family. To begin with, families are
significant since they are the source of future generations. The family's reproductive capacity is
critical to humanity's continued existence. In a person's life, the socialization function is
performed by their family. When a newborn is born, he has no knowledge of human life or his
place in society. As he grows older, he realizes that his parents are his first teachers and that
human connection is essential for survival. A family can help a person who is socially inactive
become a proper social being. From being a kid who needs their parents’ hands in order to guide
them at walking, up to their son or daughter’s wedding where there are also our parents that pave
our way and guide us to the aisle. I have known that the importance of family is engraved in our
well-being because they are the ones who were there from the very start.
In addition to this, I can say that my relationship with my family is good. Although we are not
perfect as there is no such thing, we have this undeniable connection and family bonding during
weekends. I can say that I am close to my parents especially my mother, she is like my best
friend where I can tell her my secrets and such. It is good to have a non-toxic family culture
wherein I knew some of my friends have mommy or daddy issues, or others experiencing a
family problem.
