Mission and Vision statements result from a collaborative, inclusive development process that may

include students, parents, and community members, in addition to administrators and professors. A vision

and mission statement is a born of every planning and strategy of the university and they can best be

described as a compass and destination. My analysis on University of Makati, College of Business and

Financial Science and the Department’s missions and visions was their statements all serve as public

pronouncements of their purpose, ambition, and values. Their purpose was to help promote the interest

and welfare of the people of Makati by providing them with meaningful and educational opportunities

geared towards the demands of an emerging industrial society at a minimal cost.

According to my research, the lower level visions and missions will be with the university’s mission and

vision. All their mission and vision are important towards creating a successful program. It gives clarity

and direction for the university, college and department. It will help keep the university on track with its

greater purpose by helping the leaders navigate competing interests.
