Activity Title: Accurate or Precise?

Learning Targets:
 Accuracy and Precision
Reference Title: Conceptual Science and Beyond- General Physics 1
Author: Von Anthony G. Torio pages: 8-10
Main Ideas to be Learned

Accuracy and precision are related to the closeness of the values measured with the theoretical or accepted
values, and vice versa. People often misconceive these two concepts in measurement. These two terms may be
synonymous, but in fact different from each other.
Accuracy means obtaining a measurement result that is close to the theoretical value. On the other hand,
precision denotes getting a similar result when measurement of a certain object is repeated.
