what is SWEBOK,when was it published ,by whom and what were the
objectives ?

Answer :
The Guide to the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK
Guide) describes generally accepted knowledge about software
engineering. Its 15 knowledge areas (KAs) summarize the concepts and
include a reference list pointing to more detailed information.
When was it published by whom :
The Guide to the Software Engineering Body of Knowledge (SWEBOK
Guide) has been created through cooperation among several professional
bodies and members of industry and is published by the IEEE Computer
Society (IEEE). In late 2013, SWEBOK V3 was approved for
publication and released.
What where the objective:
a. The purpose of the Guide is to describe the portion of the Body of
Knowledge that is generally accepted, to organize that portion, and
to provide topical access to it.
b. to characterize the contents of the software engineering discipline;
c. to promote a consistent view of software engineering worldwide;
d. to clarify the place of, and set the boundary of, software
engineering with respect to other disciplines;
e. to provide a foundation for training materials and curriculum
development; and
f. to provide a basis for certification and licensing of software
engineers.

accreditation guidelines, and certification rules and guidelines for professionals;

Give your own thoughts about importance of swebok as a student ?

Answer:
Software engineers impact society through the applications, programs, and systems
they make. These help address problems, make life convenient, improve
communication, and enable us to store large amounts of data. The beneficial effect o
their work is that it hastens the development of society.
