ARTICLE 1 THEME: SOCIAL ISSUE TITLE: WORLD BOOK OF NASA

Article 1: World Book of NASA Global Warming

Global warming is an increase in the average temperature of earths surface. The causes of global warming are human activities especially the burning of fossil fuel and the clearing of land. Other than that, natural process could also contribute to global warming. Global warming would increase the stress on ocean ecosystem. Besides that, widespread shifts might occur in the natural habitats of animals and plant. Global warming also causes weather damage. In addition, global warmi ng also lead to rising of sea level. Global warming also affects the human health. Besides that, global warming causes change of crop yield. The ways to limit global warming are replace fossil fuels with energy sources that environmentally friendly and use fossil fuel more efficient. The other way is carbon sequestration that involve underground storage and in plant. Global warming could cause much harm, so an effort should be done to help to limit it. (150 words)

ARTICLE 2 THEME: POP CULTURE AND ENTERTAINMENT TITLE: EXTREME SPORTS

Article 2: Extreme Sports Extreme Sport

Extreme sports are sports that require participants to combine athletic skill with pronounced risk. Controlling risk is vital as extreme sport place athlete in dangerous situation. In addition, extreme athletes exceed traditional safety limitations to create new disciplines in the sport. Some extreme sports combine the techniques and physical skills of two or more sports. Many extreme sports are performed by individuals. In almost every extreme sport, a governing body sponsors competitions. The annual X Games held with events in a wide range of sports and a different sort of extreme sports competition. Bungee jumping; leaping from a fixed location, base jumping that parachutists jump at a certain height is extreme sport that are common. The other is skysurfing where they perform acrobatic stunts while free falling and street luge that similar to traditional luge. Therefore, extreme sport need to be commercialized to ensure that it become a popular sport. (150 word)

REFLECTION
Firstly, I want to show my appreciation to Mr. Nukman on his meaningful briefing and guidance. His briefing helps me to understand the task clearly. Special thanks to my ELP lecturer Miss Raguna on her guidance. She guides me on how to detect the main idea in a paragraph and gives a good briefing on it. Besides them, my friends also help me to do my assignment by giving a positive comment on my work. From this assignment I learn how to find out the main idea from the article. By finding the main idea, I easily understand the topic that discussed on the article. Other than that, I can differentiate the main idea and the supporting details. Besides that, I can learn on how to summarize the main idea of the article in the simple and effective way. The summary must contain the main idea of the article and everybody knows the content of the article by reading the summary. Other than that, I can improve my English grammar and reading skill. As a teacher trainee, I should have a good reading skill in order to indentify relevant information from the text. Learning in English will be more effective when I master a reading skill. As a conclusion, this coursework has many benefits for student in order to improve reading skill and learning skill. I hope my lecturer will satisfy my work and help me and guide me to improve my work in the next assignment.
