Dear Sir,

RE: PREVENTING CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES AND RELATED DEATH BY FREE HEART

SCREENING PROCEDURES INCLUDING ARTERIAL AGE, PP, MAP2, CSP, RAI, RAP, PRT,
CARDIOPULSE WAVE ANALYSIS, BPRO, A-PULSE CASP PULSEWAVE ANALYSIS AND
SORTEREOGRAM

We write to express our desire to conduct free heart screening procedures for the staff of
your organization. This has become a necessity with an increase in mortality rates resulting
from cardiovascular diseases (CVD) worldwide and in our country particularly.

Cardiovascular diseases remain a major cause of morbidity and a leading contribution to

mortality worldwide according to the World Health Organization. The World Health
Organization estimated that up to 29% (16.7 million) deaths worldwide are due to CVDs and
42% of global mortality and morbidity caused by CVDs occur in developing countries.
Furthermore, Universal studies conducted over the last three decades have shown that cardiac
disorders are increasingly becoming the major cause of SUDDEN and UNEXPECTED death in
ordinarily healthy and productive populations. Enough of sudden death caused by CVDs!

Regular heart screening is a very important aspect of lowering cardiovascular disease. The
earlier the detection of risk factors for CVD, the better it is to control and manage these risk
factors. Also it becomes easier to prevent the onset and progression of CVD. Moreover
screenings can help identify patients in the early stages of CVD so they can get proper
preventive treatment and prevent CVD- related death.

Regular cardiac screenings should ideally begin at the age of 18. It is especially crucial for men
aged 40 years old and above, and women who are 50 years old and above to be screened
regularly.
This is even more important if you are suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure or high
cholesterol. People who smoke and imbibe alcohol excessively are also at a higher risk for CVD.

It is advised that even with risk factors such as diabetes under control; whether by lifestyle,
exercise or medication to still go for full cardiac screening every other year as well as blood test
screening for risk factors annually.

No doubt regular heart screening policies can be adjudged as being long overdue in the
country especially from the standpoint of enabling people have access to procedures that
ensure gallant, healthy heart with longer life expectancy. We strongly suggest that adequate
information on complications of CVDs as well as mandatory annual BPRO (Modified Application
Tonometry EVBP) screening be included to the strategies for health management of
members/staff of your organization to ascertain their cardiovascular risk burden.

Doctor Pharmacy Ltd in conjunction with Harmony Health and Synergy USA are pleased to
be in the forefront of the race to drastically reduce and by God’s grace eliminate the
devastating effects of this ensuing epidemic in our country. We hereby offer to conduct free
heart screening procedures for the staff of your organization.

We thank you and please accept the assurance of our best wishes.

Yours faithfully,

DR OKECHI VINCENT E. (CEO)
